Wish List

My birthday is around the corner and all I want is good health and continued success.
But since those are things that I get for myself and the G-O-D blesses me with I figured I'd give me friends & family a guide for material gifts that I like! It also serves as a guide for other guys so if you're looking for a gift for your dude, bredren, amigo, brother or man? You may wanna start here!
First on my list is the Blackberry 8900 Curve. Its promised to be as reliable as the previous 8800 Series only with better graphics, which make for a sexier interface. It's also the thinnest available for the jeans are no longer baggy or bulky so with that trend comes a form fitting phone. This won't trump the iPhone from Apple but RIM's patented PIN technology for BB Messenger keeps me in the loop with all my industry peeps. Only $199 on a 3 year term with Rogers Wireless Next on the list in no particular order is return of the stylish Parkas by Canada Goose. The quarter-length 'Chilliwack' is down filled to keep one warm on those aortic nights T-dot to Edmonton. You can find Canada Goose in retails stores throughout the downtown core.
Then for no reason at all other than to accent a fly outfit when playing out is The Grande Heaphones by Booster available at Urban Outfitters (an often slept on store for dope gadgets). Styled similarly to the Sony MDR700 these headphones look hype if you rock it right! If you don't then you look like a "hype". Who knows how well they work?!? I juss wann 'em! And necessary for any home for entertainment is the PS3! For Any sports fan it the best way to get your on-line game hustle on. Married to the PS3 is any HD LCD TV. If you're gonna have toast you might as well butter it! These two are essential for all sports enthusiasts.
As I been getting older I keep hearing that I need to grow up... Here's my compromise. Toy Watch! Mature and Fun! Nuff Said. But back to being young and fun the single din JVC KD-AVX44J DVD/CD player is definitely a quiet piece needed when trying to subtly pimp my ride. JVC is definitely tops when it comes to this technology.
This should is a great starter guide for any male if you are not able to think of that personal gift! I could think of more but I won't... for now!
February 25th Mark it in your calendar!

2-Double-O-NINE

Its 2009 and so far so good. At the end of the day all we can do is take it one day at a time. Life really IS what YOU make it. Today on Dr. Martin Luther King's Birthday I think back to his I have a dream speech and compare to dreams of my own-- (mine are not so noble, but are still MY dreams none the less) On Tuesday, we should witness President-Elect, Barack Obama swear in as the 44th President of the United States [sidebar: I can't even tell you home many Prime Minister's we've had] which gives hope to for us to believe that 'Nothing Is Impossible' so if you have a goal reach for it.

I don't intend to sound preachy but as a result of my introspection I am continuing to go for mine! With that said you'll be able to hear my latest project "20-NINE" compiled prior to the ball drop from my good friend Keisha's Birthday Party. All tracks were inspired by her taste or requests and mixed by yours truly.
You can also hear me on a weekly basis at the Spring Rolls restaurant at Fairview Mall, Fridays from 8pm-Midnight check out good stores like H&M in Fairview mall for you copy of a mixed cd and discount card and look out for the latest street wear http://www.room322.ca/ mixtape to be dropping real soon!

HIP-HOP HOLIDAYS

Christmas 2008 is here-- Bah Hum-Bug! Naw for real I'm not a Scrouge but I do find myself trying to avoid getting into the festive spirit just to avoid the straight commercialization of the holiday!

I mean even the church acknowledges that Christ was not born on December 25th!! I don't know if it comes with age, experiences, or income but I find I am more synical even inspite of having children whom look forward to the day... or at least the day of receiving gifts!

I just seem to remember a day that had more innocence. The commercialization was so blatant and in your face. Hip-Hop or "Rap" albums actually tried to maintain its theme. Run DMC actually rapped about Christmas in Hollis Queens, NY and actually put elf's and Santa in their video (for real). It didn't seem cheesy at the time it seemed sincere and genuine.

With that said, I'm still appreciative of a day regardless of its transparency, where we can still think adn reflect on the important thing in life like family and giving. I just think that some of us should spend the day or some days within the season giving the thing we all value most time. Try volunteering your time at a shelter, try spend the night handing out warm outter... And don't forget to bring the kids especially if the whine or feel some sort of entitlement about receiving their Christmas gift.
